An amazing 40s dress in a fantastic cool and crisp non-stretch tricel type fabric, a lovely flowing and shiny synthetic silk. A soft, muted coral pink with a large blue and darker pink floral design. A loose fitting shirt style bodice with excess gathered folds of fabric over a sweatheart neckline. Three large pearlesque buttons, gathers at a front waist panel from which gathered pleats create a lovely full and flowing skirt. Belt loops but no belt. Beautiful, darted, ¾ length sleeves with turn back cuffs. Slight shoulder pads and side metal zip. Label reads “Anti Shrink Fabric guaranteed by Gafton". A fabulous dress in great condition for its age, one small mark toward the hem which is not immediately noticeable due to the shine and folds of the skirt (I have had to hold the skirt out for photo).
